International Gold Program at UCSB
The International Gold Program (IGP) at the University of California, Santa Barbara (UCSB) is a selective, intensive English language and academic preparation program designed to help international students succeed in their undergraduate studies at UCSB. The program is designed for students who have completed their secondary education outside the United States and who have not yet met the English language proficiency requirements for admission to UCSB.
Program Features
The IGP offers a variety of features to help students succeed, including:
* Intensive English language instruction
* Academic skills development
* Cultural orientation
* Advising and support services
Eligibility
To be eligible for the IGP, students must:
* Have completed their secondary education outside the United States
* Have a minimum TOEFL score of 70 or an IELTS score of 6.0
* Demonstrate academic potential and motivation
Application Process
To apply to the IGP, students must submit the following:
* An online application
* Official transcripts
* A TOEFL or IELTS score report
* A personal statement
* Two letters of recommendation
Tuition and Fees
The tuition and fees for the IGP are approximately $30,000 per year. This includes tuition, housing, and meals.
